I am sure you are wondering what this blog is all about! Let’s start with the name- MinnesotaGal. Below you will find a brief explanation of the importance of the name.

Minnesota –The beautiful state that I have called my home for the past 19 years of my life. I also attend the University of Minnesota which further instills a sense of pride for my home state. Even though traveling the world is a goal of mine, Minnesota will always be home to me.

Gal –If you couldn’t already tell, I identify as a girl! When I was growing up my great-grandma Audrey, whom I was named after, used to refer to girls as “gals”. Ever since her passing, I have loved this term as many no longer use it. I see this as a tribute to her as she is still a part of me.

I have come to realize that few things in my life will remain the same. However, these two terms will forever be meaningful to me.

Finding Your Inner Self –College so far has been everything I had expected. It has been a time where I can try new things and figure out what I enjoy and what I want to do. I hope that everyone can identify their own personal passions and have the courage to pursue them. Thus, being able to find your inner being and who you truly are.

As for the slogan worry less and smile more, the past year has taught me what it truly means to be happy. I plan on making another post that explains this more completely. Basically I tend to stress myself out when life becomes unpredictable however, I have learned that only I can control my self-happiness (If that isn’t already a term in the English language it needs to be!). Life brings its challenges, but with a positive outlook you can control your destiny.

Thank you and as always remember to worry less and smile more!
