Our final full day in Rome started off a little slower since we didn’t have a tour or reservation to make. We started the day with breakfast in our Airbnb.
After getting ready for the day we took the metro to Piazza del Popolo and shortly afterward stopped at a café for coffee and paninis.
We then walked to Piazza di Spagna (Plaza of Spain) and took pictures by the beautiful Spanish style steps.
We then took a nice long walk around the surrounding neighborhoods and stumbled upon more Roman ruins.
We stopped for some gelato and chilled at a park for while.
We then walked over the bridge of Garibaldi to get to the neighborhood of Trastevere.
We stopped at a italian restaurant for lunch and dined on lasagna and carbonera.
After lunch we took a small hike to see more of the city.
We also ran into the Spanish Embassy… I am missing Spain already.
We continued walking and admiring the streets of the city.
We ended up walking near the Vatican once again and decided to stop for gelato and canolis!
And here are some random shots of me walking to our Airbnb and unlocking the gate (thanks mom).
Worry less and smile more.
