Day 3 in Munich, Germany

I am back with day 3 of my trip with Jonathan to Germany! Our day started off very sweet, our Airbnb hosts felt bad that we had trouble locating their apartment the night before and they informed us that they wanted to make us breakfast in bed! The woman even made a trip to a local bakery to get us some fresh German pastries (in the north they are called berliners but in the south they have another name that is specific to Bavaria).

I was so appreciative to have a home cooked breakfast.

We had the chance to talk a little with our hosts and found that they had super interesting backgrounds. The man was from Australia and moved to Germany to pursue his dancing career and the woman was originally from Spain and also moved to Germany to pursue her dancing career because jobs are very stable there. Both of them knew how to speak German and they were teaching each other Spanish and English. It was super nice to get to know them a little better- they even called a taxi to come pick us up when we checked out!

We made our way over to the Nuremberg castle once again (and this time realized that we had already made one visit to the castle the day before!).

I loved all the beautiful pastel colored buildings.

We had a tour guide explain this well to us and she dropped a bucket of water down the well so we could hear how far down it went. It was incredible to think about how long ago it was constructed and how far it went down.

We climbed up this super windy staircase to reach the top of the tower.

We definitely had a good time exploring around the castle more in the day time and marveling at the wonderful views. Afterwards, we started walking around the streets of Nuremberg to find a place to eat lunch.

We ended up stopping for lunch at a cute German restaurant.

After grabbing a bite to eat, Jonathan and I made our way to the bus station once again, this time to get on a bus to Munich! The bus ride took about an hour and soon we arrived to our final city of the trip. Once there we stopped at a coffee shop for some hot chocolate and a treat.

We also had a few hours to kill until we could check into our final Airbnb so we decided to walk around Munich a bit and site-see!

We also went for a short walk as the sun was setting.

Admiring a gorgeous archway

Shortly after we checked into our Airbnb and let me tell you- it was completely gorgeous! The owner is unemployed and rents out his apartment as his full-time job. He was super artistic and had a similar decoration style as I do. I felt right at home.

After getting our things situated, we walked over to a nearby Italian restaurant that was rated very highly for dinner.

We definitely were feeling tired once again after a long day of travel and exploring! We returned to the Airbnb for some much needed rest.

Worry less and smile more.
